OVERVIEW


This statement is issued by Aeolus Robotics Corporation ("Aeolus", "We", "us", or "Our") and is addressed to individuals outside our organization with whom we interact, including customers, visitors to our Sites, other users of our products or services, personnel of corporate customers and vendors, applicants for employment, and visitors to our premises, we realize the importance of protecting your personal information and are committed to protect your privacy and in compliance with applicable data protection laws in all countries in which Aeolus operates.


This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit our websites ("Site") or use our Services, and how we handle personal information and the choices available to you regarding use, access, and how to update and correct your information.


We follow all applicable laws on data privacy protection and data security. The ultimate goal for gathering these data is to improve service and support to customers. Some of our Services may be subject to separate terms and conditions, policies and disclaimers governing their use. These supplemental terms, policies or disclaimers shall be incorporated into this Policy and shall prevail over any conflicting provision of this Policy.


This Policy will be made multi-language, and all language versions shall be valid. In case of any discrepancy between the English version and other language versions, the English version shall prevail.


This statement may be amended or updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices with respect to the Processing of Personal Data, or changes in applicable law. We encourage you to read this Notice carefully, and to regularly check this page to review any changes we might make in accordance with the terms of this Notice.



PERSONAL INFORMATION


Personal information is data that can be used to identify an individual and may include login information (username, account number, password), name, address, email address, phone number, social media account information. It may also include device identifiers, IP or MAC address when such data is linked or tied to a specific person’s device.



PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU


We may collect your personal information directly or indirectly as you interact, use, and experiences with our website, products, and Services. We also collect the Robot operation status through the cloud service to improve Robot’s service quality, and reliability; enhance the product performance and futures. These may include information about:

  • When you set up your account on the website, we collect and store information including usernames, member names, photograph, address, country, email addresses, phone number, and how you want to use Aeolus websites, accounts, or applications…etc.
  • Your access and use of websites or other online services, products data, interaction with us, web, and email analytics data; other contact details, survey responses, blogs, photos, support queries, forum comments (if applicable), content you direct us to make available on our Sites (such as item descriptions).Records of your expertise, professional history, practicing details and qualification details, information about your experience, participation in meetings, seminars, advisory boards and conferences, information about your professional relationship with other individuals or institutions, language abilities and other professional skills.
  • Data communication with us by phone, e-mail, social media details or otherwise.
  • Improvement and development of our products and services.
  • Personalized request of our products and services and recommen-dations you made.
  • Information about your use of Aeolus cloud services to provide support and improve and develop our products and services. For more detail information, please refer to "INFORMATION RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR PRODUCT".
  • Personal information from job applications (such as, your CV, the application form itself, cover letter and interview notes).
  • Records of your interactions with our online advertising and content, records of advertising and content displayed on pages displayed to you, and any interaction you may have had with such content or advertising (e.g., mouse hover, mouse clicks, any forms you complete in whole or in part) and any touchscreen interactions.
  • Any views and opinions that you choose to send to us, or publicly post about us on social media platforms.


INFORMATION RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR PRODUCT

  • We will collect the Aeolus Robot’s usage status and diagnoses data and analyze the information such as hardware reports, software versions data, software update log, usage statistics, calibration log report, digital image, Robot dialog data or system performance data, human robot interactions data for this particular Robot and combine them with the data included in the Robot’s associated account. While such data are mostly technical and non-Personal Information, some might however be regarded as Personal Information with respect to the robot’s account holder.
  • Aeolus Robot dialog data includes features that allow you to interact orally with our robots. Aeolus will not collect or store the content of the interactions with your robot without your consent.
  • However, the ability of our robots to decode human voice being limited, sometimes the robot may not understand its interlocutor speaks perfectly, and in this case, the spoken words of the person who speaks will be translated into text and transmitted to our third-party voice recognition provider in order to provide the voice recognition feature expected. Please be aware that if the spoken words include personal or other sensitive information (e.g,: name, address…), that information will be transmitted to our third-party provider. The voice-recognition feature can be activated or deactivated at any time. Note however that if the voice-recognition feature is deactivated, the oral interaction with the robot will be disabled.


COOKIES


When you visit a Website, we will typically place Cookies onto your device, or read Cookies already on your device, subject always to obtaining your consent, where required, in accordance with applicable law. We use Cookies to record information about your device, your browser and, in some cases, your preferences and browsing habits.


Cookies are text files with small pieces of data, data stored in a cookie is created by the server upon your connection. This data is labeled with an ID (such as username and password) unique to you and your computer. When the cookie is exchanged between your computer and the network server, the server reads the ID and knows what information to specifically serve to you.

Strictly necessary cookies that enable you to move around the website and use its basic functions. They are usually only set-in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as log into a secure area of the site. These cookies are indispensable for the use of the website.

  • Functional cookies that are used to recognize you when you return to our website and enable us to offer you improved and more personalized functions like remember your preferences (e.g., your choice of language or region). These cookies collect anonymous information and cannot track your movements on other websites.
  • Analytical and performance cookies that allow us to know about how our website is used and thus helps us to improve the way and the functionality of our website works.
  • No primary personal data (name, first name, phone number, address...) is gathered and only two types of secondary data (e.g, data that might possibly lead to an individual in certain circumstances) are collected here - cookies and IP number.
  • Your IP is used by our provider for sole purposes of geo-localizing the connecting device (regional details, potentially details of the town in some countries) to enrich the data collection. The IP is anonymized just after the operation of geo-localizing and stored in encrypted format.

Our website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Please note that Aeolus has no affiliation with, and is not responsible for, these third-party websites.


Most internet browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. Depending on your browser, you can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, or you can set it to refuse them. Please refer to the 'help' button (or similar) on your browser to learn more about how you can do this. Disabling cookies may impact your experience on our website.



USE OF YOUR INFORMATION


We may use your personal information for the purposes of operating and helping to ensure the security of our business, delivering, improving, and customizing our websites and services, support, sending notices, marketing, and other communications, and for other legitimate purposes permitted by applicable law. Aeolus may share your information with third parties such as business partners and authorized suppliers for the purpose of operating our business and providing products and services. Your information is shared to third parties only with your consent or for performance of contract.


Aeolus in certain circumstances may subject to disclosure your infor-mation when required by law or to respond to legal process or lawful requests, including from law enforcement or other government agencies.


We may share personal information in the following ways:

  • Within Aeolus and any of our worldwide subsidiaries for the purposes of data processing, such as marketing, business operations, security, website or support, or service.
  • With Aeolus business partners or authorized suppliers, so that they may share information with you about their products or services. To opt-out of Aeolus sharing with third parties for their marketing purposes, please click policy@aeolusbot.com.
  • With business partners, service vendors, authorized third-party agents, or contractors to provide a requested website, service, support, or transaction. Examples include, but are not limited to: processing of business transactions, contact hosting websites, hosting seminar registration, assisting with sales-related efforts or post-sales support, and providing customer support.
  • When required by law or to respond to legal process or lawful requests, including from law enforcement or other government agencies;
    • With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties as necessary to comply with legal process or meet national security requirements; protect the rights, property, or safety of Aeolus, its business partners, you, or others; or as otherwise required by applicable law.
    • In aggregated, anonymized, and/or de-identified form that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
    • If we otherwise notify you and you consent to the sharing.


TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION


As a global organization, Aeolus engages in a number of international activities. In connection with the management of those activities, Aeolus may transfer your personal information to other countries or to third parties and business partners as described above that are located in various countries around the world. By submitting your information to Aeolus via the websites, or in connection with your interactions with Aeolus offline, you consent to such transfers and to the processing of this information in other countries.



INFORMATION SECURITY AND ACCURACY


We intend to protect your personal information and to maintain its accuracy. Aeolus implements reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your personal information to protect your personal information against risks such as unauthorized or unlawful access, destruction, temporary or permanent loss, and alteration, use and disclosure. We also require that our suppliers protect such information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure.



DATA RETENTION


We will retain your personal information as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. We will retain and use your personal information as necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g. audit, accounting and statutory retention terms), resolve disputes, , protect our assets, and for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims in the countries where we do business.

You can request to access, update, delete or correct your personal information. You also have the right to object to direct marketing and may have additional rights pursuant to your local law applicable to the processing. ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Where permitted by law, you may have the right to obtain a copy of Personal Information that we hold about you. Before responding to your request, we may ask you to (i) verify your identity and (ii) provide further details so we can better respond to your request. We will endeavor to respond within an appropriate timeframe and, in any event, within any timeframe required by law.   • As a user and/or client of our services, you can access the personal data we hold about you via your account to correct, amend, or delete information that is inaccurate. You may also update or delete your personal information by contacting us, using the contact details provided below policy@aeolusbot.com.
  • You can also close your account online at any time and have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data.
  • Please note that in some cases we may retain certain information about you as required by law, or for legitimate purposes. For instance, if we believe you have committed fraud or violated our Terms and Conditions, we may want to keep some of your information to avoid that you circumvent the rules applicable to our services.
  • We may decline to process certain data access requests, such as those that are frivolous, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. All requests regarding privacy requests should be sent to the contact address indicated below.
  • You also have the right to make a complaint to the relevant data protection supervisory authority or to seek a remedy through the courts if you believe that your rights have been breached.


CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHT


Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California consumers have a right to knowledge, receive, access, and deletion of information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with them or their household. California consumers also have a right to opt out of the sale of this information by a business and a right not to be discriminated against for exercising one of their California privacy rights. Aeolus Robotics does not sell this information in relation to California consumers and does not discriminate in response to privacy rights requests.


We provide notice of our privacy practices in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy includes what personal information is collected, the source of the information, and the purposes of use, as well as whether we disclose that personal information and if so, the categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed.


California consumers can exercise their privacy rights by contacting us at policy@aeolusbot.com. If you do not have an Aeolus web account, we will ask you for information which we consider necessary to verify your identity for security and to prevent fraud. This information may include name, contact information, and information related to your transaction or relationship with Aeolus Robotics, but the specific information requested may differ depending on the circumstances of your request for your security and to protect privacy rights. If we delete your personal information, we will both render certain personal information about you permanently unrecoverable and also de-identify certain personal information.



PERSONAL LOCATED WITHIN THE EURPEAN ECONOMIC AREA


Aeolus adheres to applicable data protection laws in the EEA, which, if applicable, practicable, and required under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, include the following rights:

  • if our processing of personal information is based on your consent, you have a right to withdraw consent at any time for future processing;
  • you have a right to request from us, where we act as a Controller as defined in the law, access to and rectification of your personal information;
  • you have a right to object to the processing of your personal information; and
  • you have a right to lodge a complaint with the applicable local public authority.

These are in addition to the rights you have in Section 11 above. When we process personal information about you, we do so with your consent or as necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; to provide the products and services you use; for the performance of our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract; or for our other legitimate interests or those of a third party.
